Por estos momentos, todo España habla en twitter de Tom Fletcher y de sus excelente composiciones para McFly. La banda que lidera este londinense y en la que es acompañado por Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter y Harry Judd tuvo diez números uno en el Reino Unido con «Crashed The Wedding», «Who’s David?», y «Thunderbirds» de Busted; y «Five Colours in Her Hair», «Obviously», «All About You», «I’ll be ok», «Please, Please», «Star Girl», y «Transylvania» con su autoría o coautoría. Ahora, con sólo 26 años, Tom no sólo es un compositor para su propia banda sino que también presta su poesía para el grupo One DirectIon.
Se trata de “I want”, el single con el que el grupo de adolescentes conformado en el programa de talentos británico “X Factor” –una suerte de mix entre Operación Triunfo y American Idol de los británicos- saltó a la fama en estos días. Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik y Niall Horan no cumplieron aún los 20 años pero tras su destacada participación en el concurso televisivo conformaron este grupo.
